 The BBC has commissioned Reunion, an emotional thriller of revenge and redemption, which follows the journey of Brennan, a deaf man determined to right his wrongs, while unravelling the truth behind the events that led him to prison. Reunion features Brennan, who embodies the struggle of a man caught between two worlds, unable to fully integrate into the hearing world and shunned by the deaf community. Amidst this isolation, Brennan's only meaningful relationship is with his estranged daughter Ellen, who he hasn't seen in over a decade while he’s been in prison. It promises to be a milestone in inclusive storytelling, with the majority of the cast being deaf or using British Sign Language (BSL). There will also be a number of opportunities for deaf crew members.

　　It’s official: The Conners will be getting a proper goodbye. The Roseanne follow-up has been renewed for seventh and final season. As Deadline reported exclusively last week, the order is believed to be for six episodes, with the main cast, including John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson, expected to return. The renewal took longer to finalize because dates for the cast, particularly Goodman, had to be worked out, I hear.

　　Following the success of its 2023 series, the critically-acclaimed hit drama Shetland has been recommissioned by the BBC for two new series. A Silverprint Pictures production (part of ITV Studios) for the BBC, the double series commission - Shetland’s ninth and tenth - will film in locations on the Shetland Isles and across Scotland in 2024 and 2025.

　　Shooting will begin this month on the series that stars double-BAFTA nominee Simm as Gray Wright. When the provisions of Jack’s final will and testament are made known, his third wife Sally (Amuka-Bird) and sons are shocked to discover they have been largely cut out of his enormous fortune. As DCI Morgan and DC Jones delve further into the case, they realize Jack’s cause of death was in fact murder. Their sights turn to the Wright family, where the mother of all feuds is beginning.
